Giraffe Nursery Art Print
Something I was working on over the weekend.
Along with crayons, paint brushes, vintage ornaments, and just about anything involving home and garden, I also love giraffes. And owls. But definitely giraffes.

Christmas is Coming ( Vintage Style!)
I'm probably not alone in starting a blog only to completely forget about it. Well, it's been 15 months since my last confession . . . so lots to catch up on. Most importantly (at least at this particular moment in time) is that the Holidays will soon be here. And with vintage ornaments being an obsession of mine here are a few pictures for your viewing pleasure. If you're not into vintage ornaments, Christmas or complaints about Minnesota winters, you might want check back in March when, despite a thin (or heaven forbid THICK) layer of snow still covering everything in creation, my thoughts turn to gardening and margaritas by the pool!
Here are some of my more favorite ornaments from this season. After going overboard for 2 years in a row (imagine 2500 ornaments in our house!) I finally starting selling some on etsy and ebay. Unfortunately as many keep coming in as go out. I know I need to stop, and soon, or my husband might not think it's cute anymore . . . *sigh*
I imagine little vignettes like this one, which I have pinned at my Pinterest account (but can't figure out how to embed). One of these days I'll slow down enough to make it happen. As it is now, I'm always super busy selling ornaments right up until the 11th hour.
Some of my favorites - Vintage Feather Tree (think TINY TINY TINY) 1" circa 1950s, made in Japan. How awesome on a white feather tree?? And they come in the the original, tiny box (see here) Love.
Vintage German Blown Glass ornament (sold)
Vintage Mercury Glass Bead Garland. This one is super special - notice the double indent beads. Ah may zing
More at my Etsy shop, at Facebook, and on Pinterest.
p.s. I'll be back sooner, rather than later!

Happy Anniversary to my better half
My husband isn't perfect . . . but then, neither am I. Which is why we can laugh at things like this. And to be perfectly honest, in his case there is only some truth to this 6 month reference. Most things are done quickly.
And I also know if I want to be excused of some of mymore annoying less than lovable traits, I need to make a point of regularly pointing out the 99 things he does right - which MORE than make up for his slight delay with certain items on the infamous To Do list.
And if I'm going to complain, I'd far rather it be about something important. Like not putting the toilet seat down.
Which is actually a joke, because he does that, too ♥
